Theta Tau is the nation's largest professional engineering fraternity.
Since its foundation at the University of Minnesota in 1904, over 35,000 men
and women have joined its ranks.
Epsilon Beta chapter was installed on May 19, 1951 at Wayne State University in Detroit,
Michigan. The chapter has over 500 members and currently retains a roster of 15-20 active
members.
Epsilon Beta upholds the national purpose to develop and maintain a high standard of
professional interest among its members and to unite them in a strong
bond of fraternal fellowship.

The fraternity sponsors a multitude of professional development events, social and brotherhood activities, and philanthropic fundraisers.
Professional Development
The chapter sponsors interview and resume workshops every semester at the College of Engineering. These workshops prepare members and other participating engineers for the professional job application process.
The workshops are led by active members who hold co-op or internship positions with employers including but not limited to DTE, Ford, American Axle, Toyota, Maxion-Fumagalli, Marathon, Formtech, Faurecia, and the Wayne State College of Engineering.
Once a year the chapter also hosts several events like the "How to Succeed in Engineering" seminar, "How to build and improve your resume" workshop, "Mock Interview" workshops and last but not the least "Dress for Success" workshops where successful alumni educate young engineers on the tricks of the trade.
Social and Brotherhood activities
Epsilon Beta hosts a multitude of events both on campus and at the house, including BBQs, lemonade stands, hot chocolate giveaways, and sorority mixers.
Throughout the year members go on road trips and camping trips, and visit with other chapters. The chapter also participates in intramural sports including annual Floor Hockey Leagues, Wii Bowling, and Wayne State Warrior Week challenges. The Theta Tau house also transforms into a terrifying haunted house for Halloween every year. We also have a Super Smash Tournament every semester during our Rush period.
Philanthropy
The chapter holds fundraisers for the Sean Kimmerling Foundation for Testicular Cancer called Manhood Moosey and Sleep Out for Covenant House. The chapter raised over $850 in August 2020 for Homeless Teens.

Members also participate in community service events within the community,
including planting trees for the city of Detroit, collecting recyclables at the
yearly Dally in the Alley festival, community improvement projects with
Blightbusters, donations to Red Cross and support for Habitat for Humanity.
Web and Technology
This committee takes care of any technological requirements or advances such as the
website, google drive, etc. Members have access to a lot of technology donated by
the chapter alumni such as libraries, servers, desktop computers, printers, 3-D
printers, etc. Members meet every week and work on several projects. Members hold
a web & tech workshop every semester on different topics such as Intro to Python,
servers, Linux, 3-D printers, etc.

Professional Relations
PR committee is involved with the chapter's social media. Follow us on

House
Members that live in the house are part of the House committee. The committee makes sure the house is sanitary and kept up to date with construction, paper work, etc. This committee works along with the Alumni House Committee that are incharge of the house.
Historical
The committee makes sure all the old and new documents are safe and kept up to date. All of our histocial documents regarding our local chapter and other chapters. Members also make sure all historical items of value are well-maintained.
